Nail Polish of the Day

08-08-10:

Today is a beautiful day out and because i've got a few freelance jobs coming up this week, I didn't want to wear a nail polish that was too shimmery or bright. So, I went with one of my favorite polishes....EVER.

I went with Over The Taupe.

This color came out with the Denim Paige/ Brights Collection a few years ago and it's absolutely beautiful. Although it's pretty similar in appearance to 'You Don't Know Jacque" (France Collection), it's different in that this is much more of a true brown and has a beautiful velvety finish.

I love that this color is dark enough to look sleek and sophisticated enough to look elegant but it's not too dark where it's completely wrong for the summer season.

It's super opaque and looks great on all skin tones!

Each picture was taken in natural sunlight (it's a gorgeous day and I couldn't resist).

I used Seche Clear Basecoat, 2 coats of 'Over the Taupe', 2 coats of Seche Vite and a drop of OPI's Drip Dry.
